What if one day someone invents the loneli-meter? A device that would measure how lonely we feel, even if we can be surrounded by an appraisable number of all kinds of people. BUT, this lonely-meter could measure not only how distant other people are from us, but also how much of a stranger we are to ourselves. Ready to accept the challenge?

Why do we feel so lonely? Why do we need other people to confirm our worth? Why do we claim from others whatever seems to be missing from our lives? Why don’t we accept/appreciate/love ourselves enough?

The Anti-Loneliness Project is not only for people that feel lonely, isolated, shy, etc. It’s for all these that have experienced Loss, Stress, Rejection, Fear, Inner Conflicts, Separation, Depression. The “loneliness” feeling is the source of these numerous issues we have to deal with every day. And when struggling with them makes us feel even more lonely and needy at the same time. It’s a vicious circle. We have alienated ourselves from our main purpose in life, from what makes us feel alive, from our true essence. And that hurts. And we seek healing from outside, instead of looking inside us.

Through our counseling we aim to overcome these challenges. To fight with our fears. To learn to love ourselves. To defeat loneliness.

Except for private counseling, a series of workshops (each consisting of 5 meetings) start running from the new year onward.

Vassia-Sarantopoulou-100Vassia Sarantopoulou is a counselor-psychologist working with clients in one-to-one sessions but also organizing group workshops.
