Start your Own Business Seminar is back! The event is a fantastic opportunity for internationals who want to set up business in the Netherlands to gather information and get started. It takes place on Thursday, November 17th  in the World Trade Centre The Hague (WTC) and starts at 17:30.
 
Women’s Business Initiative International (WBII) and WTC The Hague have joined forces again and organised three 45 minute seminars in one workshop where attendees can find out and learn about:  
 
1.      Business set up in the Netherlands: general differences between Dutch and other markets.
2.      Legal considerations from a personal and business perspective.
3.      Reality check – gain insights, tips and financial insights from those who have already set up.
4.      Brainstorm and identify the actions you need to take to move forward.
5.      Building your network – Dutch style.
 
Start Your Own Business enables you to learn, ask questions and network with people who have been there and done it as well as those who are on your same path. Interested?

Franziska Pechtl  is attorney-at-law in Germany and the Netherlands and works at the international
Franziska Pechtl is a German qualified lawyer supporting cross border cases between Germany and the Netherlands at Heffels Spiegeler Advocaten.
In the legal department of a German publishing group, she gained experience in corporate law, intellectual property and privacy law. After her studies, Franziska Pechtl worked as a trainee for a European law firm, the German broadcaster Deutsche Welle and the German publisher M. DuMont Schauberg. Furthermore, she supported the United Nations in the Caribbean as legal adviser on projects on human rights and climate change.
In 2009, Franziska Pechtl graduated in German law from the University of Cologne. Additional to her German law degree, she also obtained a degree in Anglo-American law and a Master of Laws International in Melbourne, Australia. During her LLM, she specialised in mediation, negotiation and business dispute resolution.
Franziska Pechtl speaks German, English and Dutch.
 
She will give attendees guidelines on the legal aspects of setting up a business in the Netherlands at the Starters Seminar on Thursday 19th November in WTC Den Haag.
Ute Limacher-Riebold is the owner of Ute’s International Lounge where she supports internationals, mainly accompanying partners, navigate their life abroad successfully. As a PhD in Philology linguistics and intercultural communication. She regularly holds workshops and trainings about topics related to International Life in The Hague area.
In her workshop you will learn how to find a networking format that best suits YOU, how to prepare for the event, how to get the most out of it and how to approach networking in a foreign country.

Sinéad Hewson head of TpEBO and managing partner of The Dendrite Group, specialises in high performance; leadership and communication. She is an active member of Women’s Business Initiative International (WBII) in The Hague. Her workshop will give you an opportunity to brainstorm your business next steps and give you a realitycheck on setting up so you are inspired to go for it. She is an NLP trainer and facilitates challenging meetings for clients.

Marcel de Lijster of Webster University and Down 2 Earth Dutch will co-present with Sinead Hewson and give insights on the financial aspects of setting up in the Netherlands. Marcel de Lijster recently started his own business and works with his TOP Fit program (FIT for Teams, Organizations and People) in which he looks at the FIT that organizations and people have with each other. Previously he worked at one of the largest banks in Holland as Manager Control.  He has almost 30 years work experience to add to his knowledge of strategic management, organizational behaviour, change management and risk management.

Christine Dahl, is an American lawyer living in The Hague, she leads the Dahl International Tax law firm. She attended one of the first Starters Seminars and established her business in WTC The Hague. She will talk at the end of the session about her experience of moving her home based business to the WTC Business Center.
