WORKSHOP: All for One, One for All

As members of the WBII we are part of a strong group of dynamic women. Our combined skills, networks and experiences are astounding and scream the potential of collaboration, colla-petition and joint ventures.

Ideally we’d be a flourishing beehive with individual bees bringing honey home for all of us and more. The question is, are we? And if not yet, what might be holding us back?

In this interactive 2h workshop your team of facilitators will start the discussion by exploring the differences between, and the advantages and disadvantages of, interdependence, co-dependence, dependence and independence.

We shall then explore the kind of mindsets that keep us stuck in less desirable situations and how to make the transition in a safe, fun and mutually beneficial way.

This workshop is for all of you who want to grow your business in 2018, had enough of working all alone, want to learn how to collaborate (more successfully) with your fellow WBII members.

The theme of International Women’s Day 2018 is #PressforProgress. Let’s press for progress together.

Dovile CorriganDovile Corrigan is a People Acuity Specialist and Certified facilitator of Strengths Strategies for Optimal Performance. Dovile works with individuals and teams to increase their Optimal Performance™, where both performance and energy are high. Dovile is a mum of two young children, wife of 11 years, previously a professional in the financial sector and an expatriate for the last 13 years, who knows how demanding life can get.

Manuela DamantManuela Damant is the Co-Founder of Open The Door Leadership, a training & coaching company specializing in helping diversity conscious organisations attract, develop, (re-)engage and retain their female talent.

Before retraining as an NLP Coach in London in 2003 she worked for Shell International Ltd. both in Switzerland and the UK for 10 years. Having lived and breathed working in a large corporation, and having coached many professional women over the years, she gets the unique challenges women face at work. But more importantly, she understands how to deal with them elegantly and effectively.

She agrees with Simon Sinek that ‘Together is Better’ and has switched from offering individual coaching to group coaching with great success. And she’s also moved from being a one-woman-show to collaborate with an awesome team of fellow coaches. Everything is possible when a group of liked minded people support each other to grow.

So it’s not surprising that she believes that the leadership of the future is a collective leadership that is purpose driven, reliable, principled, inclusive, and effective. A leadership that will have men and women join hands to solve the pressing challenges we are facing today – together.

Vassia SarantopoulouVassia Sarantopoulou is a counselor-psychologist and the founder and owner of AntiLoneliness, the company offering counseling services to people in Leiden and in the Hague area. Her clients’ well-being and inner peace is her mission. The most common issues she has dealt together with her clients have been: anxiety, depression, family issues (divorce, conflicts, infertility), relationship issues, self-development.

Vassia has organised seminars and workshops on psychology for counselors and psychologists, but also for individuals. She has also been the main speaker in conferences about Empowerment, Loneliness, Career Counseling, etc.

She is also providing online counseling services, especially when distance, cost or other practical factors make a meeting-in-person impossible.

Vassia keeps expanding her horizons by participating in workshops, conferences, seminars, but also through travelling, meeting new people and new cultures, reading books and practicing photography.

Food Entrepreneur Ebere Akadiri has published a cookbook to fight against human trafficking in Nigeria. Vibrant West African Cuisine, is more than a cookbook. Akadiri teaches readers how to easily cook wholesome Nigerian dishes, often in 20 minutes or less. Highlights include Jollof rice, meat pepper soups and bean pottage. The book ranges from cookbook to sociological expedition, with first-hand glimpses into Nigerian culture, festivities and culinary heritage through photos, stories and more.

Ebere intends to raise €135,000 for Beauty in Every Life’s “Keep Dignity Alive” initiative, which raises awareness of how slavery, trafficking and poverty steal their victims’ dignity.
