Workshop 1: Critical Thinking in Today’s Workplace

Nowadays in the increasingly complex and fast-paced work environments, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by information and decisions to make.

In such situations we are forced to make decisions quickly, without structurally analyzing problems and weighing alternative solutions. Unfortunately, the consequences of that can be disastrous and we eventually might spend more time fixing the consequences of bad decisions.

For that reason businesses recognize that critical thinking is the vital skill that helps us to achieve the focus and clarity of mind, approach an issue systematically, look at it from different perspectives and generate better decisions.

Therefore in the workshop you will learn more about critical thinking as a discipline, evaluate your own critical thinking skills and try out some of the critical thinking techniques used in argument and problem analysis.

Dr. Giedrė Vasiliauskaitė is a lecturer, trainer and researcher specialized in critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills development for academia and business.

She holds a doctorate in Philosophy from Erasmus University Rotterdam and possesses more than a decade of international research experience.

Since 2008 Dr. Giedrė Vasiliauskaite is teaching Critical Thinking and Argument Analysis courses at Master’s and MBA-executive programs at the Rotterdam Business School and The Hague University of Applied Sciences, as well as delivering trainings for businesses.

An expat herself for 17 years, Dr. Giedrė Vasiliauskaitė has first-hand experience of challenges and advantages of working in a multicultural environment.

She is passionate about the need to promote mutual understanding and critical thinking for better performance, either in a corporate setting, public institution or an educational establishment.

Workshop 2: Change your Money-mind-set

More and more women are choosing to enter  entrepreneurship or freelancing but what determines their success? According to experts, 90% of their success rate is based on their money mind-set, their beliefs regarding money. How important is your money mind-set for your business? What are your beliefs regarding money and do these beliefs support your business or limit it?

In this workshop we will be taking a closer look at some of the most common limiting beliefs women entrepreneurs have, regarding money, that impede their growth.

How can we change them? We will be doing hands-on exercises and finishing off with the “Money Mind-set quizz”. This quizz provides insights into the specific areas where your limiting beliefs lie.

And as added bonus you will have a free “discovery session”with Marian who will guide you into transforming limiting beliefs into empowering ones which will galvanise your business.
